I think Shizune is REALLY underestimated and requires more attention. Like...She's a jounin! She's been traveling along with Tsunade, was her apprentice and didn't just help at the hospital (remember,it was her who was responsible for healing Neji after bringing Sasuke back mission) but also had some fighting to do. Maybe it's because she's always with Tsunade she's staying in the shadow, but I think she's not any worse than her mentor.
Personally I love Shizune, and I find her damn adorable. u.u
